An impressive wine collection was included in the deal when the Wenner-Grens took over Häringe Palace from Torsten Kreuger (who was imprisoned and forced to accept an outrageously unreasonable bid). The cellar was dubbed ‘Gyllene Freden’, because its wines were just as valuable as the eponymous restaurant in the Old Town of Stockholm at the time. It’s only natural for us to keep up the tradition of having the cellar well-stocked.
You’re welcome to take a peek at the cellar in all its glory. Bring some friends and ask for a cheese platter to accompany a wine of your choice. Or pop down to the cellar before dinner to pick a bottle you like.
